Benefits of Rizana education

Why Choose Rizana

Education That Fits the Way Nonprofit Committees Actually Work

Most financial education is designed for business professionals. Rizana is different — everything we teach is framed around associations, charities and volunteer-run organisations managing shared funds.

The Core Reasons Committees Choose Rizana

Sector-Specific Knowledge

Our facilitators come from nonprofit administration and adult education backgrounds. They understand the particular challenges of associations — rotating committee membership, AGM reporting requirements, handling membership fees and donation tracking — because they have worked in those environments.

This means examples and scenarios in every session are relevant. Participants do not have to mentally adapt a corporate case study to their association's situation; the material is already shaped around it.

  • Over nine years working specifically with nonprofit organisations in Perak
  • Facilitators trained in adult education methods, not just subject knowledge
  • Content reviewed annually to reflect how associations actually operate
  • Suitable for both new and experienced committee members
  • Structured session plans that cover material in a logical sequence
  • Feedback gathered at end of each session to guide continuous improvement
  • Programme materials prepared in advance and distributed to all participants
  • Group discussions structured to stay focused and productive

A Deliberate Approach to Delivery

Rizana programmes follow a consistent structure that has been refined over years of delivery. We do not improvise the flow of a session based on what happens to come up. Each topic has its place in a sequence that builds understanding step by step.

This matters for committees because the people attending often have very different starting points. A structured approach ensures that nobody gets left behind, and that more experienced participants still find the content useful.

Accessible, Responsive Support

Enquiries are handled by the same people who deliver the programmes. When you contact Rizana, you speak with someone who understands the content and can help you think through which option fits your committee best.

Participants in the Complete Programme receive three months of group support after their core sessions — a practical way to work through real situations that arise in the months following training.

  • Enquiries answered within one to two working days
  • Pre-enrolment conversation available to help you choose the right programme
  • Three months of post-programme group support (Complete Programme)
  • Clear point of contact throughout enrolment and attendance
  • Pricing in Ringgit Malaysia, stated clearly on every programme listing
  • Materials included in programme price — no additional charges for templates or manuals
  • Three tiers to fit different committee budgets and time commitments
  • Group format means shared learning costs across participants

Straightforward Pricing

Rizana programmes are priced in a range that reflects what small and medium associations in Malaysia can reasonably consider. We offer three distinct options — from a single session to a full programme — so that committees can start at a level that suits their situation.

All materials, including printed manuals and editable templates, are included in the stated price. There are no variable costs added after enrolment.

What Sets Us Apart

Distinctive Features of the Rizana Approach

The Committee Summary Format

Every programme includes a "committee summary" — a short, clear outline of what each session teaches and what committee responsibility it connects to. This helps participants explain to absent colleagues what was covered, and how it applies to their shared work.

Graduated Programme Structure

Our three programmes build on one another. A committee that starts with the Basics Session can progress to the Skills Course and, later, the Complete Programme. There is no obligation to do all three, but the option is there as needs develop.

Printed Manual for the Complete Programme

Participants in the Complete Programme receive a printed reference manual — a physical document they can keep, annotate and return to throughout the year. This is not a PDF download; it is a bound reference designed for ongoing use.

Rooted in the Perak Nonprofit Landscape

Rizana is based in Ipoh and has worked with organisations across Perak for nearly a decade. We understand how associations in this region are structured and what committee members here typically encounter. Our content reflects that local context.
