2. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing this website or enquiring about or enrolling in any Programme, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use this website or enrol in any Programme.
You must be at least 18 years of age to participate in any Programme. By enrolling, you confirm you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into this Agreement.
3. Programme Description
Rizana provides general financial education programmes for committees and volunteers in nonprofit organisations including associations and charities. Programmes are delivered in Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia.
All Programme content is strictly educational and informational in nature. No Programme constitutes regulated financial advice, investment advice, tax advice or legal advice. Participants are responsible for consulting qualified professionals for advice specific to their circumstances.
Programme availability is subject to scheduling and minimum participant numbers. Rizana reserves the right to reschedule or cancel a Programme where these conditions are not met. In such cases, registered participants will be notified and offered an alternative date or a refund.
4. Enrolment and Registration
Enrolment in a Programme is confirmed upon receipt of a written confirmation from Rizana. Completion of an enquiry form does not constitute enrolment. Rizana may request additional information before confirming a place.
Participants are responsible for ensuring that the contact information provided at enrolment is accurate and current. Rizana is not liable for missed communications resulting from incorrect contact details.
5. User Responsibilities
As a Participant, you agree to:
- Attend sessions punctually and engage respectfully with facilitators and other participants
- Use Programme Content for your own organisational purposes only
- Not reproduce, distribute or commercially exploit Programme Content without written permission from Rizana
- Refrain from disruptive conduct that interferes with the learning experience of others
- Provide accurate information at the time of enrolment
6. Intellectual Property
All Content provided as part of a Programme — including session materials, templates, manuals and handouts — remains the intellectual property of Rizana. Participants are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Programme Content for their own internal organisational purposes.
Participants may not reproduce, publish, distribute, sell or make Programme Content available to third parties without prior written consent from Rizana.
7. Fees and Payment
Programme fees are stated in Ringgit Malaysia (RM) at the time of enrolment confirmation. All fees are inclusive of stated materials unless noted otherwise. Fees are payable in full before the Programme commences, unless a written payment arrangement has been agreed in advance.
7.1 Refund Policy
Cancellations made at least fourteen (14) calendar days before the Programme start date will receive a full refund. Cancellations made between seven (7) and thirteen (13) days before the start date will receive a fifty percent (50%) refund. Cancellations with less than seven (7) days' notice are not eligible for a refund, except in exceptional circumstances at Rizana's discretion.
If a Participant cannot attend, they may substitute another representative from the same organisation at no additional charge, provided Rizana is informed at least 48 hours in advance.
8. Programme-Specific Terms
8.1 Attendance
Participants are expected to attend all scheduled sessions. For the five-week Skills Course and Complete Programme, Rizana recommends a minimum of 80% attendance to obtain meaningful benefit from the content. Non-attendance does not entitle participants to a refund.
8.2 Programme Materials
Editable templates and reference materials are provided for the participant's own organisational use. Printed manuals (included in the Complete Programme) are provided as physical documents and are not replaced if lost after distribution.
8.3 Group Support Sessions
The three months of group support included in the Complete Programme are delivered as group sessions, not as individual advisory meetings. Scheduling of support sessions is at Rizana's discretion within the support period.
9. Disclaimers
Rizana Programmes are provided on an "as is" basis. While we take care to ensure content is accurate and current, we make no representation or warranty that the information provided will meet your specific needs, lead to particular outcomes for your organisation, or remain accurate beyond the time of delivery.
All content is general educational information only. Rizana is not a licensed financial advisor, accountant, tax agent or legal practitioner. Nothing in our Programmes should be interpreted as advice on specific financial decisions. Participants should seek independent professional advice for matters requiring regulated expertise.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law, Rizana's total liability to any Participant arising from or in connection with a Programme shall not exceed the amount paid by that Participant for the specific Programme in question.
Rizana is not liable for any indirect, consequential, incidental or special loss or damages arising from participation in a Programme, whether based in contract, tort or otherwise, including any loss arising from reliance on Programme Content.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Rizana, its staff and facilitators harmless from any claim, demand, loss or expense arising from your breach of these Terms, your conduct at or in connection with a Programme, or any misuse of Programme Content.
12. Termination
Rizana reserves the right to refuse or remove a Participant from a Programme if their conduct is disruptive, inappropriate or in breach of these Terms. In such cases, no refund will be provided.
A Participant may withdraw from a Programme subject to the refund terms in Section 7.1.
13. Dispute Resolution
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to first attempt to resolve the matter through direct discussion. If resolution cannot be reached within thirty (30) days, either party may seek resolution through the courts of Malaysia, with jurisdiction in Perak.
14. General Provisions
These Terms, together with any enrolment confirmation, constitute the entire agreement between Rizana and the Participant in respect of Programme participation. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force. A waiver of any provision on one occasion does not constitute a waiver on any future occasion.
15. Changes to These Terms
Rizana may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on this website with a revised "Last Updated" date. Continued participation in a Programme after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
